Yes, you read the title correctly...DISTRICT: 1780. I know my district! Not the city yet, but that's okay because I know the district. District. District. District. I couldn't really handle it when I first found out. Like at all. I had emailed my CCO (Jayne) about how I would find out about where I'm going a couple days ago. Today, I read an email that said: "I know you will be hosted in District 1780". I started crying. No shame. None.
Okay, so let me tell you about D1780. First of all, it's in the Rhone-Alpes region. So I will be in the mountains! It's along the lower part of the Swiss border and sort of touches the border of Italy. It is so pretty in the Alps. I cannot stop going through pictures. Now the last time I was in the Alps, it was the Swiss Alps, and I fractured my thumb...I have a feeling this time will be better (no offense to my uncle Pete if he's reading this). There are 49 clubs in D1780 and I have no idea which one will host me. This is all so crazy and exciting and I'd tell you more but I have to do homework instead of freak out, which is kind of awful.
