False Alarm

Bonjour!

So I have more very very exciting news! The 28th of August was a false alarm, I actually get to arrive on the 23rd! This is really great, because I kind of felt like I was getting cheated out of time in France. Now I get another week I wasn't expecting! This is all developing so quickly, and yet, I still have to wait 53 days at most (...fingers crossed that is) until I find out where in France I'm going. Not that I'm counting down or anything. I can be as desperate for that information as I want. For now, all I can give you is some (nonexistent) suspense about that whole "where in France" deal. Speaking of where in France, I have been doing some researching. I have discovered that there are 19 districts in France. 19. That narrows it down a whole lot. These districts are pretty large, so even if I try to imagine a district, I can't really imagine it because of the different geography, cities, accents, etc WITHIN each district. I'm hoping that I won't have to pretend to imagine much longer. Through all of this waiting, I've realized that patience is for the weak (je plaisante, je plaisante). Three students (that I know of) from my district at home already know where in their country they will be AND are in contact with their first host family. "Jealous" doesn't even begin to cover the feeling. I'm just going to go check my email 10 times a day now, as if I don't already....Au revoir!
